This page is designed to help you when planning your vacation in Florida Buenaventura Lakes Located to the South of Orlando, Buenaventura Lakes is an upmarket residential neighbourhood bounded by the Floridas Turnpike to the west, Boggy Creek Rd., to the south and east and (very roughly) the 417 Greenway to the north. It is set in a peaceful and tranquil location and surrounded by beautiful conservation areas. It is ideally situated for all the attractions in the area, being just 15 minutes from Disney and 15 minutes drive south west from Orlando International airport via the southern exit from OIA to Boggy Creek and the Greenway (exit Landstar Blvd.). So it is VERY convenient for arriving and departing owners and guests. This is where real Florida people live, work, go to school - and vacation. Being also on Osceola Parkway there is very easy access to all Disney's parks and 192 west. We can also take the Greenway southwards to Celebration, Lake Buena Vista, Seaworld, I/Drive and, northwards, to Cocoa Beach, Winter Park and points north of Orlando WITHOUT ever having to drive on 1/4 at all ! As we are just 20 minutes drive from downtown Orlando via Orange Ave. (527) and just ten minutes from downtown Kissimmee itself, with its beautiful Lake Tohopekaliga, we find the BVL location ideal for all our needs. Within this wonderful location the homes benefit from spacious plots and superior landscaping with many lakes and wonderful wildlife. Buenaventura Lakes is also home to some of the premier golf courses in Florida - within this 'country club community' are three golf courses so their club houses provide a local social facility (perhaps the nearest we have to the English Pub atmosphere). Ventura Downs Shopping Mall with 2 large supermarkets, 2 banks, pharmacy, hairdressers, petrol station, fast food outlets and various smaller stores is only 5 minutes away. There is even a Tourist Information office to help you organize your holiday. The area also has schools, its own volunteer fire service, its own sheriff's office, post office, community centre. There is a library, churches, banks, gas stations, convenience stores and fast-food outlets - all on-site, not miles away. Three supermarkets, a recently built Wal-Mart superstore - the list just goes on ! THE TREMENDOUS ADVANTAGES OF DOING IT YOURSELF The vacation rental villa that you choose will be direct from the villa owner,you will know which area,street and home that you will be occupying so no Last Minute change of address. You will pay the villa owner direct,no commission to us Last Minute Villas or to any Florida travel agent. The villas all stipulate the amount of people they are licensed to accommodate this is a Florida statutory requirement. So if you rent a 5 bedroom villa for £600 per week that sleeps 10 to 12 people you will be paying only £60 per person per week Add maybe £40 per week for food and hey you have vacation accommodation in a luxury villa for only £100 per week per person. A rental car from Orlando airport will cost around £450 per week including the best insurance possible for a 12 seater that is less than £40 per person per week.
