Recommended Restaurants
We have tried all three of the Gaylord Restaurants.
Gaylord Palms is located on Osceola Parkway just off junction 65 of I4.
This hotel and has a huge entrance with a glass roof, cliffs, rivers, waterfalls, tropical plants, alligators, carp and turtles. It is like being outside - inside!
SUNSET SAM'S FISH CAMP
is located on board and alongside a full size sailing ship that floats on a tropical lagoon.The menu is a combination of Floridian and Caribbean dishes. Lively music and entertainment is provided in the evening and at weekends. There is face painting for the kids and a wide variety of circus type entertainers.
OLD HICKORY STEAKHOUSE
is a rustic steakhouse that serves some of the best steaks in town. At Old Hickory the menu uses only the highest quality Black Angus steak. If you like cheese there is a fantastic selection to choose from and the wine list is - to say the least - extensive.
VILLA DE FLORA
This is a European style of restaurant. It is set in the style of a grand old mansion. There are six different kitchens all with a Mediterranean theme to them.
Dishes from France, Italy, Greece and Spain are offered. Guests can even season their own meals by snipping fresh herbs from plants growing at their table. There is a good wine list plus sangria.
