Location Our private villa is located on a private gated community, with night time security, in the superb location of the Southern Dunes Golf & Country Club and for the keen golfer this means playing on one of America’s top 100 golf courses. Southern Dunes is a renowned Golf Digest 4 star rated Championship Golf Course, modelled on St Andrews. Steve Smyers’ dramatic hillside layout will present you with a challenge unique in Central Florida, featuring large, fast, undulating greens and expansive fairways flanked by more than 170 bunkers of varying size and shape. With elevation changes of 100 feet, the dunes are planted with shrubs, grasses and ornamentals. For those of you who do not play golf a stroll around the course is a must. This holiday offers something for everyone and all the family will be happy with all the glorious opportunities on offer. The Golf Club has its own luxurious CLUB HOUSE with BAR and RESTAURANT and they also provide a take out service. There is a Community Recreation Centre with an Olympic size swimming pool, gym, floodlit tennis courts and a children’s play area. Just outside the gates there is a WalMart Superstore, a Winn Dixie Marketplace, a Dollar Tree, First National Bank, Taco Bell and a Chevron Service Station. Over the road there is a Blockbuster Store, McDonalds, Burger King, KFC, Checkers and a couple of Chinese Restaurants – with more to open soon. For the more sophisticated diners there are many good restaurants within a ten minute drive. Access to all the major attractions is easy from Southern dunes and the beautiful tranquil gardens at Bok Tower are a short hop down the road.
