Cypress Gardens Adventure Park is well worth a visit and not only for the beautifully manicured gardens. There are currently 38 rides to enjoy, as well as Splash Island Water Park (June 2005), Nature’s Way, Jubilee Junction, shows and concerts. There are also plans to introduce some interesting animals! The Gardens There are two gardens to see – The Plantation Gardens and the Botanical Gardens. The Plantation Gardens, have some very interesting examples of topiary. I preferred the Botanical Gardens, the highlight of which was the Banyan tree! I had never seen one before and found it absolutely amazing! Rides The park offers rides to suit everyone in the family, including the thrill-seekers. There are four coasters including, including a wooden one (Okeechobee Rampage). The most terrifying ride I witnessed was the Thunderbolt, which gently lifts passengers straight up into the air high above the park and then suddenly plummets them back to earth! Splash Island Water Park The water park features six attractions suitable for all age groups. Even tiny tots can enjoy the gentle fun of “pop-jets and bubbles”. Other water attractions are Poynesian Adventure – offering loads of slippery fun on slides, rope ladders and platforms; Kowabunga Bay – a 20,000 sq. ft. wave pool; Paradise River – a meandering lazy river to float along – or maybe not so “lazy” after all!; Tonga Tubes – a 40 foot tall twin tube-slide complex; Voodoo Plunge – a 60 foot triple slide complex. Jubilee Junction The place to go when you’ve worked up an appetite. Choose from snack stands to sit down restaurants. We had lunch at Aunt Julie’s Country Kitchen where you could help yourself to as much as you wanted. Good value for money!! Or maybe a little shopping therapy is in order – there are speciality shops to appeal to everyone including a year-round Christmas shop. Visit the Royal Palm Theater to see the dazzling ice show, which changes to reflect the season. Wonder at the sight of hundreds of butterflies at Wings of Wonder or enjoy the beautiful birds at Nature’s Way. Shows & concerts More than fifty all-star concerts will take place annually at Star Haven Amphitheater. General seating is included in the admission price. We visit Cypress Gardens every time we go to Florida and our last trip was no exception. I had checked on the website and found out that Lonestar were going to be in concert! You know "Amazed" I'm sure!! Booked ticketed seating in advance ($15 extra + tax). Well worth it! The concert was brilliant! Mango Bay features spectacular daily water ski shows as well as “Pirates of Cypress Cove” – a comedy show depicting life on the high seas. Admission price provides access to all activities in the park including rides, shows, attractions and concerts. Also included is a second day free, up to six days following the park visit.
