Fairwayvilla
LOCATION
Our fully air-conditioned house is located on the Links golf course at Fairway Oaks, Hudson, a quiet residential area two miles from the Gulf of Mexico. Hudson is some 30 miles north of Tampa/Clearwater and about 90 minutes drive from the Disney area.
THE VILLA
Accommodation consists of two double bedded and two twin bedded rooms. The master bedroom has a queen size bed,its own bathroom with a shower cubicle, tub, two wash basins in a vanity unit, separate toilet with bidet. The other Master has a double bed and en-suite with tiled shower, toilet and vanity unit. Both bedrooms have bedroom furniture and large walk-in closets. Both twin bedded rooms have large closets and bedroom furniture. All bedrooms have clock radios. Bathroom 3 has a shower over the bath, vanity unit and toilet. All linen and towels are provided (except beach towels).
The fully equipped kitchen has plenty of cutlery, crockery and pots and pans. There is a four plate electric hob wall oven and grill, microwave, large upright fridge/freezer with ice maker and a dishwasher. A breakfast/dining area is off the kitchen. The utility room has washer, dryer, iron and board and a deep sink.
The large central living area, with a separate small lounge, has ample seating with four sofas. Other facilities include cable TV, VCR/DVD and CD player. A second TV/VCR is in the master bedroom.
Sliding glass doors allow access from various rooms to the 30' x 15' south facing pool which is solar heated (electric heating is available for the cooler months at extra cost). The large, screened, south facing pool deck has room for seating on three sides and several loungers are provided. The table and chairs under the lanai seat 6/8 and are perfect for al fresco dining. With a hedge on one side, shrubs on the other and an open aspect to the rear it is well secluded.
All rooms and the lanai have ceiling fans fitted.
Any problems that arise will be dealt with promptly by our excellent local management company.
SHOPPING
America is the home of the shopping mall and there is plenty of opportunity locally for the shoppers among you to indulge yourselves. Gulf View Mall (10 minutes drive) is a huge complex with stores such as Sears, Macy's, Dillards and J.C.Penney plus a variety of smaller outlets. In addition there are many shopping squares and plazas. There are a couple of Wal-Marts nearby and other stores such as Target and K-Mart.
A large variety of food is available in the supermarkets. Meat and fish is both plentiful and cheap as is fruit. With the combination of good cheap food and the cooking facilities at the villa you can enjoy some excellent meals by the side of the pool in the warm evenings.
EATING OUT
For those of you who do not wish to cook on holiday dining out is not a problem. Whether you prefer sea food, steak, salad, american, italian or many other ethnic foods there are so many different eating places from which to choose, all incredible value for money. There are of course all the usual fast food outlets.
ATTRACTIONS
Busch Gardens in Tampa is an internationally renowned safari park and entertainment complex with several roller coaster and water rides. An excellent day out for the whole family. About 40 minutes drive from the villa.
Weeki-Wachi Springs and Buccaneer Bay water park are 25 mins drive.
Homosassa Springs, a state nature reserve, where you can see manatees is 45 mins drive.
Tarpon Springs is a Greek sponge fishing town 25 mins.
There are several beaches between Clearwater and Hudson and also north of Hudson.
Numerous golf courses are within a few minutes drive.
Tampa airport is about 40 mins drive and Orlando airport about 2 hours.
We are confident you will enjoy this peaceful part of the Sunshine State.
RATES 2006/2007
EASTER £550/$925 per week CHRISTMAS, mid-July to late August £525/$900 per week. All other dates £500/$850 per week inclusive of taxes and departure clean.
