On September 24, 2006 Last Minute Villas upgrades its system to the Webonizer Content Management System. The change includes many upgrades that will affect the way the site works. Longtime members, however, will find that many of the areas of the site still work similarly to their old way.

Last Minute Villas went to a database-driven system back in early 2004. The owner of Last Minute Villas, Stewart Granville, commissioned a new web programmer Shawn Olson to convert the previously static system to a database-driven system.

Now Last Minute Villas has its biggest renovation since becoming a dynamic site. It has now been upgraded to run on Olson's latest content management system called Webonizer.

"I created Webonizer," said Olson, "to consolidate the projects I have been working on over the last few years. I needed a system that could handle almost any project and remain on the same page."

When Webonizer was finished earlier this year, he created a special plugin for Granville's projects called the Villas Plugin. This site is now running Webonizer and the Villas Plugin. Not all documentation for the Villas Plugin is up yet... but the official site for the Villas Plugin software is located at

Some of the new features of this site include better search engine optimization, more convenient user controls, better image and file handling and other features.
